Steps to Reduce GHG Emissions Over Time and Achieve Net Zero by 2050.

In order to achieve Net Zero by 2050 Elec Training have adopted a phased approach to decarbonisation, focusing on specific initiatives and technologies over time

Immediate Actions (2024-2025)

Carbon Footprint Baseline
Conduct a thorough GHG emissions audit to understand the current carbon footprint of all operations.
Energy Efficiency Initiatives
Begin reducing energy consumption in our training facilities by upgrading to energy-efficient lighting, appliances, and heating/cooling systems.
Sustainable Travel Options
Roll out electric vehicle (EV) charging stations and offer financial incentives for employees to adopt sustainable transport options.

Medium-Term Actions (2026-2030)

Transition to Renewable Energy
Achieve 100% renewable electricity for all operations (training centres, office buildings, etc.).
Fleet Electrification
Move to a 100% electric vehicle fleet for company-owned cars, delivery vehicles, and any other transportation needs.
Sustainable Office Practices
Implement practices to reduce paper consumption, including more digital training materials, reports, and marketing collateral.

Long-Term Actions (2031-2050)

Net Zero Emissions by 2050
Introduce advanced carbon capture technologies if applicable, and explore other innovative solutions like renewable energy generation (solar panels, wind power) at your training facilities.
Carbon Offsetting Programs
Invest in large-scale carbon offsetting programs, such as reforestation projects or renewable energy credits, to neutralise emissions that can’t be eliminated.
