The unit taught, and its learning outcomes, are as follows: 
UNIT 502 – Initial and Periodic Inspection & Testing of Electrical Installations

Course Duration 

5 Days – Monday – Friday (9:00am – 4:30pm, breaks included)

All of the course content will be covered on the first five days of the training course and then on the Monday of the second week you will complete your written assignment. The practical exam will be taken individually through the course with one of our assessors witnessing your practical exam. On the final half day, you will do your computer exam (if you do not feel ready to sit your exam you can choose to come back at another time, this can be discussed with your instructor).

Course Assessments

Upon completing this course, you will be required to undergo a practical evaluation to demonstrate your proficiency.

Please note that this course is intended for individuals who already possess some familiarity with electrical installation, including existing electricians and domestic installers.

In addition to the hands-on practical assessment, c andidates will also need to complete an online multiple-choice examination.

Throughout both the practical evaluation and the online multiple-choice test, you will be assessed on the following aspects:

  • Your capability to examine and test a single-phase electrical installation
  • Your theoretical comprehension of electrical inspection and testing procedures.

Please note that you must bring photographic ID such as passport or driving license with you in order to sit the assessment on this course.
