FAQ

The 2366-03 is the Level 3 Technical Occupational Entry Diploma in Electrical Installation. It is the official, newly updated industry replacement for the older, legacy 2365-03 course, ensuring your training reflects the absolute latest technical standards.

No. To become fully qualified and earn your ECS Gold Card, you must complete this classroom/workshop technical diploma, progress to a work-based Level 3 NVQ to prove your competence on-site, and pass the AM2 practical assessment.

You must be 19 or older and hold a verified City & Guilds 2365-02 (Level 2) qualification or an exact equivalent electrical installation diploma. Because this course jumps immediately into advanced electrical science and complex circuit calculations, general site experience or qualifications in other trades cannot be accepted as a substitute.

No. While all advanced design, testing, and practical modules are taught in strict accordance with the current BS 7671 wiring regulations, this diploma does not award the separate, standalone City & Guilds 2382 certification. Most students choose to complete the 18th Edition as a short standalone course alongside or immediately after this diploma.

Assessment is split across three online multiple-choice exams via the City & Guilds e-volve platform, one formal written design assignment, and one comprehensive hands-on practical assignment covering advanced inspection, testing, and fault-finding carried out in our training bays.

Once achieved, you are ready to move onto the work-based NVQ Level 3 and the AM2 assessment. Our dedicated placement team works closely with graduates to help connect you with local employers and secure the on-site work placements needed to complete your NVQ portfolio.
